Wolfgang Uranitsch speaks of "metal spray art" when he describes his work. Dazzling streets; homescapes in Miami Beach; Marilyn Monroe.

His motifs vary. Some he finds in newspapers and magazines; others he takes from his own photos such as holiday pictures and snapshots. The sources of his visual motifs appear to be inexhaustible. Appropriation is the specialist term used to describe an approach which has fascinated artists since Marcel Duchamp and which peaked in the Pop Art movement.

Uranitsch scrutinises an endless flood of images depicting daily life before picking the ones he wishes to explore in greater depth.
